DAY .1 Arrive Beijing

Arrive at Beijing and transfer to hotel. DAY .2 Beijing Sightseeing Tour   After a hearty American style breakfast, leave Beijing by deluxe motor coach. Today you will climb the Great Wall, one of the world's fantastic architectural achievements. The tour continues to the renowned Sacred Way leading to the famous Ming Tombs. In the evening, return to Beijing for a special Peking Duck dinner party. DAY .3 Beijing Sightseeing Tour   This morning, explore the best of Beijing with a visit to Tian'anmen Square, the world's largest square, and the incomparable Forbidden City. After lunch, visit the spectacular and vast Summer Palace with an optional boat ride on Lake Kunming. Evening enjoy a memorable Peking Opera performance. DAY .4 Beijing Sightseeing Tour, Beijing-Xi'an   In the morning, visit the Temple of Heaven, where dynastic Chinese rulers historically worshipped the Emperor of Heaven. After lunch, fly to Xi'an, home of the famed Terra Cotta warriors. Check into the Hotel. DAY .5 Xi'an Sightseeing Tour   Today is primarily devoted to leisurely viewing of the world famous 6,000 Terra Cotta warriors, horses, and chariots buried with the first Chinese Emperor, Qin Shihuang. Also, tour the Banpo Neolithic Village Museum. A traditional Tang Dynasty Music and Dancing Show provides evening entertainment. DAY .6 Xi'an-Shanghai, Shanghai Sightseeing Tour   Depart by train to the cosmopolitan metropolis of Shanghai. Upon arrival, check into the Hotel. Visit the Bund, emporium-lined Nanjing Road, the centuries old Yu Yuan Garden, the Jade Buddha Temple and a Children's Palace. In the evening, attend the famous Acrobatic show. DAY .7 Shanghai Sightseeing Tour   Free day in Shanghai, you can walk the streets of Shanghai at your own pace or you can take a city sightseeing bus. DAY .8 Shanghai-Hangzhou, Hangzhou Sightseeing Tour   A morning cruise on West Lake reveals the ethereal beauty of Hangzhou's willow draped islands, Then, travel by deluxe motor coach into the nearby hills and visit the resplendent 4th century Lingyin Monastery. Enjoy a farewell dinner in the evening. DAY .9 Hangzhou/Guilin   After lunch, depart for a two-hour flight to Guilin, a city of surreal beauty. Check into the Hotel. DAY .10 Guilin Sightseeing Tour   Travel by deluxe motor coach through lush countryside surrounding Guilin, where you will see bamboo, water chestnut, sugar cane and rice fields. Arrive at a local village and embark on a memorable Lijiang River cruise passing through scenic Yangshuo. After visiting the local free market, return to Guilin and explore Elephant Trunk Hill and Reed Flute Cave. DAY .11 Guilin/Guangzhou/Hongkong   Morning flight to Guangzhou and transfer by express train to exciting Hong Kong. Upon arrival, check into the Hotel. Spend your first evening in Hong Kong exploring the sights and sounds of this unique metropolis. DAY .12 Hongkong Sightseeing Tour   Enjoy a half-day tour of the dynamic cityscape of Hong Kong Island. Sightseeing includes the quaint footpaths of the Stanley Market, fashionable Repulse Bay, and the historic fishing village at Aberdeen. Next, ride to the summit of Victoria Peak and revel in the stunning, panoramic vistas of Hong Kong and its picturesque harbor. DAY .13 Hong Kong Sightseeing Tour   The entire day is free for exploring, shopping, or simply experiencing Hong Kong on your own. An optional one day excursion to Macao is also possible. DAY .14 Departure   Departure for home with memories of a unique China experience.
